Jessie Pannu

Jessie Pannu is a Microbiologist with a focus on quality assurance and regulatory aspects of biopharmaceuticals. She has a Master’s degree in microbial biotechnology and an interdisciplinary Doctorate in Biological Sciences and education. Having more than 20 years of experience in academics, biotech and pharmaceutical industries, Jessie has gained valuable skills in scientific research, statistical analysis, policy evaluation and presentations. Her work in pharmaceutical industry include the pre-clinical research of vaccines and antimicrobials against various diseases such as influenza, RSV, HSV, whooping cough, tuberculosis, acne, MRSA, and cystic fibrosis.

Jessie is very passionate about contributing to the community. In scientific communications role at CAFÉ, she is uniquely qualified with her industry experience to mentor today’s students for tomorrow’s competent workforce in STEM fields. In addition to serving on the board of directors for CAFÉ, she also provides volunteer services to the Literacy Council of Plymouth to help new immigrants acquire skills in English to manage their day-to-day lives. Furthermore, as a senior member of ASQ, Jessie serves as a Membership Chair of the Ann Arbor, section.
